The
art more or less speaks for itself. All I can really say is
that the photographs do these pieces no justice, much of the
detail and precision is lost due to the fact that you cannot
get an up close and personal evaluation of them. Each piece
is handcrafted and worked with my own two hands, the old
school way. There are no two alike, even though I have
replicated similar pieces, each one is unique in its own
form or fashion.
I start off with the idea or image that the purchaser has
given me. Usually, I prep myself and think about how I would
like this piece to evolve, sometimes for weeks. Then, after
getting a feel for what the client is looking for, begin to
work on the art itself, giving it shape and image. I lose
myself in my work, as I am thinking of the person who it is
intended and their words as I unleash my heart and soul into
creation. It’s kind of like a mad scientist project really.
It’s a mixture of thoughts & feelings combined with a few
learned skills.
